DAMAC Properties is a Dubai-based developer formed in 2002 as the property development division of the DAMAC Group, founded by Emirati entrepreneur Hussain Sajwani. The company listed on the Dubai Financial Market in 2015 and returned to private ownership in 2022, when Sajwani bought the shares he did not already hold; its equity has not traded since, although a subsidiary has issued listed sukuk. It is headquartered at DAMAC Executive Heights in Barsha Heights, Dubai, and runs sales offices in markets including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, Iraq and the United Kingdom. In Dubai it operates seven master communities, among them DAMAC Hills, DAMAC Lagoons and DAMAC Islands. DAMAC states it has delivered more than 50,000 units, with over 54,000 in progress and planning.
